Closure of Salmon Holding Pools Announced
DFO has issued a Notice to Recreational Fishers on the closure of the 23 salmon holding pools identified in the warm water protocol. The pools are closed to angling of all species of fish, for cause of high water temperatures and low water levels. These changes were effective as of Monday August 17th, 2015.

why are there no reports of striped bass in the DFO traps. Maybe if there are bass in the river people would leave the salmon alone for now. What fish are they trying to protect?
