Millerton Trap continues to show fish; Barriers not doing any better

The Millerton trap has had another promising day following up yesterdays 7 salmon and 3 grilse with another 8 salmon and 3 grilse going through today. Unfortunately the Cassislis trap had another zero day.

The barriers are not faring much better. Again last week there were very few new fish at the Northwest and Dungarvon Barriers.

Four new fish moved in at  the Northwest Barrier giving a total of 291 compared to 952 (up 11) the same time last year . Brook trout numbers are still down as well. Totals as of September 23rd are shown below.

The Dungarvon Barrier had NO new fish arrive at the barrier this past week. Numbers still total 242 compared to 814 (up 20 over the week) the same time last year. Brook trout numbers also remained the same with 68 arriving to date compared to 36 in 2011.
