At an early age, Butch became interested in business and opened a freshly squeezed orange juice company at the Boyce Farmers’ Market in Fredericton. Butch and his wife Kathy, have continuously operated this business for 40 years. Butch studied at UNB where he earned a Masters of Philosophy in Policy Studies degree. Upon graduating, Butch was awarded the Tibor T. Polgar fellowship by the Hudson River Foundation in NY. Butch is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys canoeing, golfing, fishing, and upland bird hunting with his dog Bluebell. She attended UNB where she received her B.Sc. in biology and her M.Sc. in biology studying lake sturgeon in the Winnipeg River in Manitoba. Holly has always enjoyed the outdoors and working in aquatic environments, especially with fish. She’s previously worked for an engineering firm doing field work, at the Mactaquac Biodiversity facility, for a land-based caviar producer, and in MSA's biologist position.When she’s not working you can find her and her husband running their 2 dogs or chasing after their 7 cats, enjoying some home gardening, listening to podcasts, watching movies, or sitting down to read a good book with a cup of tea. She attended UPEI and received her B.Sc. in Biology with a minor in Business Administration.Lyndsay has been fond of the MSA hatchery grounds since a very young age. She has visited the site through school field trips and many visits to the U-fish pond with family. She first joined the MSA team as a summer student in 2016 and, through a real passion for conservation, returned every year! You could say she was "hooked."During her free time, you can always find Lyndsay kayaking, fishing, or canoeing. Lyndsay says she will always be happiest on the river, doing what she loves. She has worked at Ultramar, Warner Bros France, and Public Works and Government Services Canada. Her experience in purchasing, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll makes her a great fit for the MSA’s Finance Coordinator position.Originally from Montreal, Gaby has spent a lot of time traveling and backpacking. Gaby lived in France for 8 years before deciding to return to Canada to live on the Miramichi River, close to nature, with her husband and three kids. In her spare time, Gaby enjoys reading, hiking, yoga, singing, and doing activities with her children.“Passionate about preserving Earth and all her species, I’m very happy to be in a position where I can make a significant contribution on a daily basis”. Brody has now joined the MSA as our Conservation Technician.Brody is a fan of anything digital or motorized and loves to attend car shows around the Maritimes. If he isn’t found driving or working on his car, he’s sure to be searching for its next upgrade. She lived in rural Manitoba until 2013 when she moved to New Brunswick, calling Miramichi home ever since. Tehillah now lives in South Esk with her husband and three cats. In her spare time, she enjoys working in her garden, playing pickleball with her husband, and being creative through painting and drawing. Jeff has always been a frequent visitor to Miramichi, having family ties to Miramichi and the Miramichi River. Jeff has a background in horticulture, and a B.A. from St. Thomas University with a major in Environment and Society. He has an interest in sustainability and protecting the environment as he loves the outdoors, and the joy and health benefits that can be found there.When not at work, Jeff can be found spending time outdoors with their dog Abbey and their new baby girl!
