MVHS Fly Fishing and Sportsman Show
MSA’s Holly Labadie and Kate Flanagan will have a booth set up both days for this year’s show. Come over and check out all the great things in store! The event will take place on Friday, April 8th and Saturday, April 9th hosted at Miramichi Valley High School.
FRIDAY: This part of the show will be educational where students in the District, with teacher supervisors, will be coming to MVHS to take part in activities, watch demonstrations, attend workshops, and gain information from a variety of community groups. This will run from 9AM until 3PM in the gym area of the school. Elementary students will be participating in the morning (9:30 – 11:30AM) and Middle/High school students will be participating in the afternoon (12:30 – 2:30PM). The gym will be used for fly casting, fly tying demonstrations, knot tying demonstrations, and community information booths. The pool will be used for demonstrations and the mezzanine will be used for an archery workshop. Classrooms will be used for fly tying and knot tying workshops.
SATURDAY: This part of the show will be for the public; an admission fee of $5 will be charged. Patrons can view exhibits, watch demonstrations, actively participate in activities, listen to presentations, bid on silent auction items, and win prizes with our draws. This will run from 10AM until 5PM in the cafeteria area of the school; please use the main entrance of the school.
