Salmon Classic Still a Go!
The Miramichi Salmon Classic is still going forward following the heavy rain of Hurricane Arthur. Water levels in the rivers were spring high but have begun to recede. Water temperatures which were at 25C last week are now at 13C on both the Southwest and Little Southwest – which is great news for the fish which are stressed at 20C and higher. Environment Canada reported Miramichi received 123 mm of rain from Friday night through Saturday.
Forecasted temperatures for the week ahead are a high of 27C and a low of 17C with no rain.
